Angkor Wat Temple

Angkor wat is contrary to other monuments of khmer which face to west. this transposition is doubtless explained by face.
Who built this temple? when? what? for?
It was built in the reign of king suryavarman 2nd at early 12th century in year 1113 to 1150 for dedicating to god visnu.
Angkor wat was the symbol of meru mountain which was the homage of the god king.the main poit that resyboled the five peaks and rampart surrounding it (1025mx800m) . morever. it syboled
the line of mountain that around the meru and the
moat outside(1500mx190m) east to west (1300mx190m) north to south represented the ocean that was around the mountain too . but if we say about the function of angkor wat is the shrine which is enshrined the king's ashes after the king had died. beside this they can call brahmanist monastery also.

	Bayon temple
	After we passed into the city , we saw the jungle lofty 1500m beyond the south gate we will see a buddhism temple is bayon temple, it's the heart of angkor thom capital . it was built at the end of 12th century (early 13th century) in the reign of king jayavarman 7 in year (1181 to 1219) for dedicating to buddhism and it was taken nearly 20 years in former time foundation.

Taprohm Temple

After we had finished visiting Ta keo, we went to ta prohm it is the buddhist monastery which the buddhist or king had often adored . it was built in the reign of king jayavarman 7th in the second half of 12th century 1186 for dedicating to buddhism or for his mother pragnaparamita (female divinity) in the that time. this statue was placeed in the central tower. we can see many halls setting by golds and gems.the second gallery placed probably over 200 of statues of buddha. the inscription tell us that there were 12640 inhabitants , 3140 villages, of which 18 were high priests , 2740 officials, 2232 assistants and 615 dancers .most of tourists would like to go there in order to take photo like the root of the trees, first wall 1000m by 600m,39 towers

TA KEO TEMPLE

Ta keo is one temple which was symboled meru mountain and it was built at the second half of 10th century. i mean as it had built , there was the miracle lightning then the construction was stopped , it is why it has sculpture less. it was built in the reign of king jayavarman 5th . for dedicating to the god siva, proving the sacret bull on the east side, ta keo is very good condition and best quality stone ofter it has been abandoned up to now. now the people arrange the ceremony there. nothing in side the temple but they also like to mount there so that to take photo the scenery of jungles . how high is it? it's 67m from buttom to top

BANTEAY KDEI

Banteay kdei is one temple which was built in the reign of king jayavarman 7th at the end of 12th century in year 1181 . the rampart surround it 700m by 500m
it is the first buddhism monastery there has nothing inside , except the carving of the gods and goddesses on the wall and the columns, if we look around , can be seen all of the carving every where
like friezes from the low to high. every pionts
That was asked E.G formerly it was the carving of buddha but these carving 's were damaged by brahmanist in the first half of 13th century . after we pass the first gate we have still seen one library on the right of causeway ,we can see the dancing room that was decorated by the apsara carvings
Who danced on the lotus flowers showing about buddhism , the other parts are not good condition

SRAH SRANG

Location the east of banteay kdei this pool was dug in the reign of king jayavarman 7th , at the end
of 12th century , It was why many documents were often written it belong to jayavarman 7th . measures 700mx300m, in the middleof this pool there was one small temple named flooting temple,nowdays they have still seen only basement but the plateform made by wood was fallen down
Beside this srah srang is very useful irrigation for cultivation around it.they could rain the water from srah srang for growing rice

BANTEAY SREI

Banteay srei means citadel of the woman
A temple in the forest 25 km to north east of angkor thom. it was built in the reign of king rajendravarman 2nd, in 967 AD. but this temple was
completed in the reign of king jayavarman 5th MR marac reported that 1914 in chronical said this temple was finished in the reign of king jayavarman 5th 968 1001 , so this temple was dedicated to siva and his teacher himself, anyway it expressed the khmer's art, beside this temple remained the excellent hand work. this temple built by his teacher named yajnavarha. when we get on first gopura we can see the beautiful carvings of banteay srei , then we can see the linga in the second tower was decorated the figures of visnu,siva,laksmi,brahma in the temple we saw the graceful group of siva and his consort uma sitting on his tigh. Dismantled and reconstructed between 1931 and 1936

PHNOM KULEN

28 km the north east of angkor thom it is sand stone plateau considered sacred by khmer .the king jayavarman 2nd built this first brick pyramid temple mountain to house the sacred golden siva linga here , at the begining of 9 th century over a millenium later, the phallic emblem is still on display on the phnom kulen complex. the temple is a best known for its elabarately carved lintels and bas reliefs . there are also some remains of 9th century rong cheang temple on the hill (461m)

	BANTEAY CHMAR TEMPLE
	61 km from sisophon and to the north west of angkor. it was one of capital of jayavarman 2nd , it was rebuilt in the reign of king jayavarman 7 th and dedicated to his son was died in the battle

	BENG MEALEA TEMPLE
	40 km east of bayon temple and south east phnom kulen . this temple was built in the reign of king jayavarman 6th , at 11th century 1080 A.D dedicated to visnu. beng mealea is completedly ruined even though it was built at about the same time as angkor wat. its dimensions a similar, beng mealea has no central pyramid. Enclosing by a moat measures 1200m by 900m
